Rare Vintage Bianchi Pista Track Frame – $525 (Track Shack)

I am selling a custom made Bianchi Track frame. It’s probably from the 70’s and was made as an off season trainer, as the fork crown is drilled for a small brake. It has braze-ons for a rear fender/rack and water bottle mount.. It is indeed a track bike with very tight geometry. An extremely responsive quick lil’ whip, it is. It would be most ideal for a someone around 5’2″ tall. The seat tube measures 47cm, the top tube 52cm. The bottom bracket shell is Italian thread.
If you want to have a look, it’s on consignment at the Track Shack, 1338 Tremont Pl. Stop by Tuesday-Friday 11-6, or Saturday 11-5.
$525 Firm.

This is the best the seller could do?

Perhaps we should be grateful that s/he at least saw fit to place it on a tarp.

Don’t know if this is a special bike – we’ll leave that to the experts – but we do love classic (by which we mean pre-1970s here) Celeste.

bc$_57 (36)

Vintage 69(?) Bianchi Corsa Special Bicycle Campagnolo Universal 3ttt 54/56 cm ( c to c seat/top tube). Very good condition. Head tube lug is stamped 2E69300. Front fork tips and fork crown are chromed. Chrome is in very good condition. This is a very original example of a late 60s or early70s Bianchi racing bike. The serial number and some parts lead me to believe this is a late 60s model, but the axle nuts indicate a couple years later or that they have been replaced. Check pictures closely before bidding! Ask questions before bidding! Pay by PayPal. ESTIMATED Shipping is $150 U.S. (I refund any overage). I pack carefully and will probably pack wheels and frameset separately. Thanks for looking!

Frameset Bianchi Corsa Special 54 cm seat tube (c to c) 56cm top tube (c to c).

Wheels Nisi Moncalieri rims (36 spoke) w/Campagnolo Record hubs/skewers and Vittoria Ralleye tubular tires (tires not originals). Axle nuts are marked 72.

3ttt bars with 3ttt Record 95mm stem…that still has the decals on it! Velox white cotton tape(tape new) Bar-end plugs are white plastic and embossed Bianchi / Milano.

Brakes are Universal Extras (68s?) Brev 453949. Hoods are reproduction replacements. Cables are the originals.

Front derailleur and shift levers are Campagnolo. Rear derailleur is Campagnolo Record 1020. The 1020 rear derailleur was used on Bianchi bikes into 1970.

Crankset is a Campagnolo Strada 170 – no date code, indicating it is pre-1970. Regina chain and freewheel.

Campagnolo top tube cable clamps and seat post. Seat is Unicanimex.

Vintage (and we mean vintage) Bianchi Pista

Talk about rare—we’ve never seen a Bianchi Pista this old (dating back to the 1950s in this case). We’d love to have it!

As you will see, the seller’s ad copy could benefit from the use of paragraphs.

$_57 (36bp)

Offered for auction is a very rare late(?) 1950s Bianchi Team Campione del Mondo pista/track bicycle. It is a true team bicycle as noted by the frame’s serial number 999111. You may know that old Bianchi bikes with serial numbers beginning with 999 were made for the team. I’m not sure as to the exact year of the bike. The bottom bracket shell is 70mm wide and has flanges and the 25mm seat post size indicate 1950s vintage. The original fork crown race (not mounted to the bicycle but included in the auction) is stamped “Bianchi 1952.” The FB wheelset hub race cones are stamped FB 53 (1953 – front cones) and FB 54 (1954 – rear cones). I know the team mechanics switched parts with whatever worked at the moment so there is no telling from the parts the exact year. I did get the frame (bicycle incomplete) in largely original condition with some areas resprayed. When I had the frame restored, I used the same decal scheme and decals (Bianchi logo with white banners, not red). The frame has a 55.5cm seat tube center-to-center (57.5cm to top), and a 57cm top tube c-t-c. I had the frame professionally restored maybe twelve or fifteen years ago. It has been in my collection and not ridden. The chrome on the head lugs is original and in very good condition. The fork crown looks to have been re-chromed as you can see the light outline where a hole for a front brake was filled. The chrome is in very nice condition though. It did come with an early Campagnolo Record pista bottom bracket (the spindle does not have the large washers), maybe the second version with large lettering on the spindle. I replaced some original parts with same model parts but in better condition. The Cinelli Model 14 pista bars stamped with “14” one end are 40cm end-to-end and look to have been re-chromed. The Cinelli badged stem is in original condition and is 125mm long. The Galso Bianchi plugs are NOS. The 25mm seat post is a Record post from the 1970s and is NOS. The seat post binder bolt is the original Bianchi bolt and nut. The Sella Italia Super Sprint saddle is NOS. The crankset is a 165mm 1st edition Campagnolo Record Pista model in very nice condition. The pictures make it look like there is strap buffing on the arms. That’s just a reflection. The arms are very clean with virtually no buffing marks but some marks (scratches/dings) here and there. The metal plugs on the inside of the pedal holes are intact. The crankset bolts are early Record in excellent condition. The bottom bracket spindle is used in good condition but the thin walled cups are NOS (if I remember correctly). The Campagnolo 25T chainring and 7T inch pitch cog are NOS. The chainring bolts are not rusted. They did not chrome plate these back then. The Regina block (inch pitch) chain is in excellent condition. The Campagnolo Pista Con Denti pedals are excellent, Binda straps are NOS, and old logo Christophe medium sized chrome toe clips are in excellent condition. The wheelset are Nisi track rims 36/40 with FB track hubs engraved with “Bianchi” in script style. They have Stella spokes are 4-cross and are tied and soldered. These are original. I polished the rims the best I could. There is a remanent of a Nisi decal on one of them. I have some reproduction Nisi stickers that I will include. The tires are not glued to the rims but hold air and show light wear. They are 1960s or 1970s vintage Vittoria Track X tubulars. There is one tiny paint chip on the right side top tube otherwise the paint is free of scratches or chips. I think I addressed all the parts. This a super nice and rare track bike that belonged to the Bianchi team.

Like that color. Almost a robin’s blue as opposed to traditional Bianchi celeste.

The fenders (mudguards) are a nice touch.

Extremely Rare Bianchi Folgorissima 1949 / 1950
The Bianchi Folgorissima is a historically notable Bianchi model, recognised amongst collectors and Bianchi enthusiasts as one of the best and most collectable Bianchi models. Perfect for a restoration project, for collectors of vintage bicycles, and for Bianchi enthusiasts.

Introduced in mid 1949 as Bianchi’s top of the range racing bicycle. It was introduced to showcase the new Campagnolo “Una Leva” 4-speed derailleur. The Folgorissima model was short-lived as in April of 1950, the great Italian racing Campionissimo, Fausto Coppi, rode a Bianchi Folgorissima to victory in the Paris-Roubaix spring classic race. As a result, Bianchi immediately re-named the Folgorissima to “Paris-Roubaix”! The Bianchi Folgorissima existed on the Bianchi inventory for less than one year making it the rarest Bianchi racing bicycle ever produced.

This bicycle is a collectors item, it is not ready to ride. It is on sale at auction in its original found condition. Parts have been replaced by previous owner over time in order to keep pace with the mechanical tendencies (up to the end of the 1960s). It was originally meant to be mounted with a Campagnolo Paris-Roubaix derailleur. Rear dropout teeth have been filed down slightly to accomodate a Campagnolo Gran Sport hub.

The front wheel is original with a “Bianchi” branded Fratelli Brivio hub. The rear wheel has been changed to a clincher rim with Campangnolo Gran Sport rear hub.

Original Paint, some original decals are not present on the frame.

More technical details and details about the frame’s size can also be found below in our “technical datat sheet”.

Here’s an opportunity to own something very cool (and rare).

We find the price to be very compelling.

00A0A_9oXuwBTCWmJ_600x450

1987 Bianchi Krono Pursuit time trial bike – $850 (high park)

A very rare bike to say the least.

57cm seat tube and about 57cm along the horizontal from seat tube to head tube. If you ride a 56-58 frame this will work for you.

Shimano 105 derailers
Campy brakes
Spinergy clincher x rev wheels 700/650
Cinelli bar and stem
Sungino maxy cranks.
Campy headset / Shimano bb

Bike is good to go, rims are dead true!

Trying to get rid of some of the collection. Come see it, it’s quite the looker, will part out the frame set only.

The pictures show no brakes on the bike or cables, it has been finished with black cables, and the camp brake set.

The seatpost in the picture is Campagnolo chorus but the bike will be sold with the correct Campagnolo C-Record seatpost.

Size 51×53 center-center.

I’d like 1800 euros (1313 gb pounds) + shipping from Turin, Italy, which is about 80 euros all over Europe.
